Reporting and attribution
Our coverage includes interviews, reported profiles and market stories. Articles identify their author in the byline. Interviews distinguish questions from the interviewee’s answers, and quotations remain attributed to the person who made them.
When an article draws on another publication, a public filing, a company announcement or a data provider, the source should be identified in the story. A statement attributed to another outlet is not presented as an interview conducted by EMD News. Allegations, estimates and proposals should be distinguished from established facts and completed transactions.
Analysis, data and illustrations
Calculations and hypothetical examples should be labelled so readers can distinguish them from reported figures. Our Markets page links national indicators to their source series and displays observation dates. Our Development Tracker identifies its source-check dates and distinguishes starting home prices from project budgets.
A photograph may illustrate a market or topic without showing the exact property discussed. Illustrative stock photographs should be identified and credited. A rendering is not evidence that a proposed building has been completed.
Corrections and updates
Readers can request a correction through the Contact page. Include the article URL, the specific passage in question and the supporting document or source. Submitting a concern does not require a subscription. Significant corrections should explain what changed; updating a headline or formatting should not imply that a new interview or transaction occurred.
Advertising and editorial material
Paid promotional articles should carry a visible sponsored-content label. Advertising enquiries are handled through the advertising page. A commercial placement should not be presented as independent reporting.
